The pothole
season is back with a vengence and here are Gridlock
Sam's tips for navigating that rocky road ahead:
TIP #1
Watch the driver in front of you; sudden
breaking or swerving means a likely road defect.
TIP #2
Spy those hubcaps along the side of the
road, they can be a good warning to an impending shake,
rattle and roll.
TIP #3
Try to drive toward the center of the
road that is usually a little higher than the curb lanes
and therefore less prone to damage from water and ice.
Don't cut corners while turning.
TIP #4
If you see construction work in vicinity
road conditions are likely to be worse. Street cuts
for utility and related work, even after repaired, are
more likely to crack and form potholes.
TIP #5
Tires are your first line of defense.
Properly inflate tires to manufacturer's specifications;
you're less likely to have a blowout.
