Sunday Parking Meter Suspension

§19-167 Suspends the activation of parking meters on Sundays. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no person parking a vehicle at a parking meter is required to activate such meter on a Sunday and no notice of violation or summons may be issued solely for the failure to activate such parking meter on a Sunday.

T Intersection Parking

Under the old law, pre June 22, 2005 car 1 would be in violation because it was illegal to park in an unmarked crosswalk formed by drawing imaginary lines that extend the west sidewalk of Elm Street across Main Street.

Now if the crosswalk is not marked (and there isn't a pedestrian ramp or prohibited sign) you may park at the top of a "T" intersection. The law is unclear if you may park when there is a pedestrian signal, Gridlock Sam says, "Don't Park There!"
